Convert files without uploading them.
Images saved from websites often arrive as WEBP. Convert them to JPG for apps and editors that don't open WEBP.
Add a file, pick what it should become
We read the first bytes of each file to identify its real format, whatever the file name says.

Popular conversions
Most of these run in your browser today. The ones marked “Soon” need a server engine and will open when it launches.
Formats
What each kind of file can turn into. Dashed formats are planned for the server release.

How it works
Add your files
Drop them on the box, choose them from your device, or paste an image. Add as many as you like.
Pick the format
Each file gets its own target format. Adjust quality, size, PDF page or bitrate if you need to.
Convert and save
Conversion starts on your device right away. You see the new file size before you save it.
Why nothing gets uploaded
The page downloads its conversion code once, the same way it downloads fonts. After that, decoding and encoding happen inside this browser tab. Your files are read from your disk into the tab's memory and written back out when you save. Close the tab and they are gone.
Questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. For every converter marked “In browser”, the file is processed by code running in your tab. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and conversions still work.
Is there a file size limit?
Your device's memory is the limit. Photos and PDFs of normal size work on any recent phone or laptop. Long videos are the most demanding, because the whole audio track is decoded before it is encoded again. If a large file fails on a phone, try a computer.
Will converting to JPG lower the quality?
JPG uses lossy compression, so each conversion throws away some detail. At 90% quality the difference is hard to see. If you need an exact copy of every pixel, choose PNG instead.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Add as many files as you like, set a format for each and convert them together. Images going to PDF can be combined into a single document, and you can save all results as one ZIP.
Why can't I convert PDF to Word yet?
Rebuilding an editable document from a PDF, or exporting Word, Excel and PowerPoint files with exact fonts, needs a full office engine. That runs on servers, and the server release is in development. Those converters are marked “Soon”.
Which browsers work?
Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. A few formats depend on the browser: saving WEBP needs Chrome, Edge or Firefox, and some video files only open in Chrome.
