Privacy Policy

Who we are

SwitchMyFile (switchmyfile.com) is a free online file converter, operated from São Paulo, Brazil. For any question about this policy, write to contact@switchmyfile.com.

Your files

Every converter marked In browser runs entirely on your device. Your files are read into your browser tab, converted there and saved back to your device. They are not uploaded to our servers, we do not store them and we cannot see them. When you close the tab, they are gone from the page.

Technical data

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes standard technical data for each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. We do not run our own analytics at this time.

Third-party resources

To display the site and run conversions, your browser downloads code and fonts from these providers, which receive your IP address and standard request data when it does:

  • Google Fonts (Google LLC), for the typefaces.
  • jsDelivr, a public content delivery network, for the PDF, MP3 and HEIC conversion libraries.

These providers only send code to your browser. Your files are never sent to them.

Cookies

We do not set cookies of our own. Your browser may cache fonts and code to load the site faster.

Advertising

This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. When it does:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR (European Union), the LGPD (Brazil) and the CCPA (California) give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data about you. We hold very little personal data, as described above. To make a request, write to contact@switchmyfile.com with "Privacy" in the subject.

Children

SwitchMyFile is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date.
